E-MTB Marathon

AGE CATEGORIES E-marathon:

  • E-Women / E-Men (from the age of 18 years)

company & club classification

This year again, companies and clubs also have the opportunity to take part in the E-Marathon as a team. A team consists of 3 participants, whether female, male or mixed. The participants in the team classification are also listed in the individual classification.

 

Technical requirements:

Commercially available eMTBs (pedelecs) with pedal assistance up to a maximum of 25 km/h and a maximum continuous output of 750 watts are permitted. No battery exchange possible during the race!. All starters have to go to he bike check before the start.

 

E-DISTANCE:

The E-Marathon Tour has a length of 42 kilometers and almost 1.750 meters of altitude.

 

e-bike check:

All participants of the E-Marathon have to go with their cleaned bike to the Bike Check. This takes place at the Race Office on Friday, September 5, from 17.00 - 19.00 h and on Saturday, September 6, from 07.30 - 08.00 h.

E-Marathon briefing

 

  1. Neutralised START of all distances: Height Bundesschullandheim (Dorfstraße 28, 5754 Hinterglemm)
  2. With guide vehicle (30km/h) along the L111 to Saalbach 
  3. START on the shot on the bridge in the village centre of Saalbach
  4. Continue via Spielberghaus to Wirtsalm and on to Panoramaalm
  5. Afterwards in the direction of Thurner Alm / Berger Alm and down via the Bergkreuzweg forest road into the valley
  6. Just above the Thurnerhof access to the farm
  7. ATTENTION: A transition from asphalt to gravel in the curve
  8. Continue via Sonnseitpromenade to the Jausern district to the Schönleitenbahn
  9. Refreshment station
  10. Once around the base station of the Schönleitenbahn
  11. Along the promenade towards Hinterglemm
  12. At the level of the Schattberg X-Press base station, turn RIGHT into the underpass
  13. Go around the station building and back through the village center of Saalbach towards the Spielberghaus
  14. Shortly before the Spielberghaus, the E-Marathon route branches off to the LEFT
  15. Via Finsterbach on the Bernkogel
  16. Refreshment station
  17. Do NOT ride on the top of the dam of the Wetterkreuz reservoir.
  18. The course splits between E-Marathon and MA 21
  19. Take the ascending forest path to the Reiterkogel summit
  20. Highest point on the route has been reached
  21. Follow the ridge along the gravel road in the direction of the Hasenauerkopf and continue to the top station of the Rosswald 6er.
  22. Descend along the gravel road to the Rosswaldhütte.
  23. Turn left towards the Reiterkogel top station
  24. At the Rosswaldhütte, continue below the new reservoir towards the Reiterkogelbahn
  25. ATTENTION: Playing Kids
  26. Descent via the Pfefferweg down into the valley
  27. Just before the Pfefferbauer, turn sharply left across the meadow towards the village center of Hinterglemm
  28.  Into the finish area: keep to the right
