From Saalbach via cycle paths and side roads to the Prinzensee on the Natrun in Maria Alm and back. A scenic tour with a high proportion of gravel and asphalt, ideal for gravel bikers.
From Saalbach along the Glemmtal cycle path to Maishofen and via Schloss Kammer and the hamlets of Gerling (a stop at the popular wedding church is recommended) and Almdorf to Maria Alm. Shortly after the village centre, turn left in several serpentines along the asphalt road to the Natrun. Just before the mountain station of the Natun cable car, go through the subway and then behind Tom's Almhütte up the gravel path to Prinzensee. There, a fantastic panorama of the Saalfelden valley, the Steinerne Meer and the Hochkönig massif awaits you. Return via the same path and then in Maria Alm via the golf course to Saalfelden. Here we take in the panorama on the back of the Ritzensee (a stop for a swim is recommended) and then fycle on cycle paths back to the connection to the Glemmtal cycle path at Maishofen. Along the Saalach river back to Saalbach on the usual route.
