risk'n'fun Freeride Training for 16–30-year-olds
4 days off-piste with the risk'n'fun team and other freeriders. Short hikes close to the slopes, plenty of decision-making situations and descents in open terrain. Welcome to the risk'n'fun training session!
During Level 1, the training session, you’ll work with the risk’n’fun team to develop your own freeride strategy based on the core principles of ‘perceive – assess – decide’.
Our guides (state-certified mountain, ski and snowboard guides) are responsible for the ‘hard skills’ aspect. This covers the correct use of emergency equipment, interpreting and applying the avalanche report, and everything that needs to be taken into account during the descent.
The risk’n’fun trainers are responsible for teaching the ‘soft skills’. What does your personal approach to ‘risk’ look like? What changes when you’re out with a group? What factors influence your decision-making?
The aim is that, after the session, you’ll be able to make your own decisions, justify your choices, and find your own lines and descent options that suit the prevailing conditions.
