Avalanche course Freeride - Ortovox Safety Academy

Freeriding off-piste means knowing how to assess terrain, snow conditions and the current avalanche situation. During this 2.5-day ORTOVOX Safety Academy avalanche course, you’ll learn alongside the certified mountain and ski guides from MT Experts how to plan your freeride days more effectively and make well-informed decisions in off-piste terrain.

The course combines theory, intensive practical training and hands-on instruction in the mountains. The programme is adapted to the participants’ skill levels as well as the current snow, weather and avalanche conditions.

The price includes a certified mountain and ski guide, full course organisation, as well as theoretical and practical training. Subject to availability, the latest ORTOVOX avalanche safety equipment can be used free of charge.

The course is suitable for freeriders with some initial off-piste experience as well as more advanced participants. You should already have some experience skiing off-piste and feel confident skiing in backcountry terrain.
