Avalanche Course for Beginners – Basic Training

Would you like to feel safer and more confident when ski touring or freeriding? In the ORTOVOX Safety Academy Avalanche Course – Basic, you will learn the essential fundamentals of avalanche safety and how to use your avalanche rescue equipment correctly.

The focus is on avalanche transceiver searches, probing, efficient shovelling, correct behaviour in the event of an avalanche, as well as basic knowledge of snow conditions, avalanche risk and tour planning. All course content is taught through practical training with certified mountain and ski guides.

The course is ideal for beginners in ski touring and freeriding, as well as for anyone who would like to refresh their knowledge of companion rescue and the correct use of an avalanche transceiver, probe and shovel. No previous experience is required.
