In a designated area at the Muldenbahn in Leogang there are various obstacles and kickers integrated into the natural terrain, providing lots of fun on deep snow slopes.
Freeride routes are well signposted runs which can partly be found off the slopes. But also special ski slopes are sometimes marked as freeride routes as they do not get prepared any more after fresh snowfall.
Avalanche transceiver search fields:
You can find avalanche transceiver search fields powered by ORTOVOX for practising with your own avalanche transceiver at the peak of Schattberg and at the Zillstatt lift. You have to activate up to four of the six buried transmitters in the search field and track and probe them within a given period of time.
Avalanche Beavon Checkpoints:
Throughout the skiing area you find avalanche beacon checkpoints powered by ORTOVOX at many key mountain stations. By passing the checkpoints every freerider can easily test whether the life-saving device is turned on and sending out signals.
At the Streuböden valley station, freeriders can access a check point with the avalanche warning system LO.LA*, information material and overview maps to plan trips. Further check points are being planned for the entire ski area.
In the following years, we will create new freeride parks, areas and routes as well as info points, checkpoints, a freeride lounge, a freeride nature trail and much more for fans of deep snow. Step by step, the Skicircus will improve its status as freeride a eldorado and powder fans will be excited about these future projects!
