WINTER RUN 01: Sonnseit-Promenade round

The Sonnseit-Promenade is not only a fantastic winter hiking trail but also a highlight for winter trail runners.

Starting at the village square in Saalbach, run down to the Saalach Promenade and downstream to the small Bergerkreuz pedestrian bridge. From there, a short climb leads to the junction with the Sonnseit-Promenade. Follow the official signage of the Sonnseit-Promenade and enjoy the snowy winter landscape up to the height of Grubhof, then follow the signs to the Jausern district. Once back in the valley, run the short stretch along the sidewalk to the Schönleiten valley station. Ideally, switch sides of the road at the skiers' underpass and run back to Saalbach along the Glemmtal Promenade.
