SH 32 Vorderglemmer Almen - Route

Classic uphill route to the alpine pasture region east of Saalbach.

From the starting point at the Schattberg X-Press, you ride leisurely along the Glemmtal bike path to Jausern, where the actual route begins. Initially still on asphalt, then on gravel, it goes up to the alpine pasture region where you can enjoy increasingly impressive views down into the front part of the Glemmtal. Past the mid-station of the Schönleitenbahn and the rustic Rachkuchl, just below the highest point of the route at 1,700 m, you can decide to make an additional detour up to the Schönleitenhütte (connection to the MTB network of Saalfelden Leogang) or to the Wildenkarkogel. The descent now begins over Thurner and Bergeralm, winding down in many hairpin bends to the valley floor, where you rejoin the Glemmtal bike path back to the starting point.
