To all of you who still have to wait a while...
Dear friends of Saalbach Hinterglemm!
For thousands of years, the Saalach has been flowing through the Glemmtal. The source of the Saalach is at the Hinterglemm Talschluss (end of the valley). It flows to the mouth of the River Salzach just north of the city of Salzburg, where the waters swell to make a stately river which meanders through the landscape and our very soul and being.
The locals of the Glemmtal often say “A lot of water has to flow down the Saalach”. The meaning of which is that it sometimes takes a while before things can be altered, started or finished. This applies to the future too, meaningful moments spent together, the first ice-cream at the open-air swimming pool or a “flowing ride” on the Hacklbergtrail. As the saying goes “All good things come to those who wait”.
Just how much water needs to flow down the Saalach until everything returns to normal, we also don’t know. Neither do we see how this new normality will look like. Some things will remain the same and others will be different. We spend a lot of time and energy thinking about the holidays. What is important for our guests? What should we pay more attention to in the future?
The day will come when we can once again enjoy wonderful experiences in the mountains and sit together on terrace of a mountain hut, not worrying about distance we keep, with a tasty Kaiserschmarrn and nice cup of coffee.
And when that day comes, we will be ready. With all the things that our guests and friends of the Home of Lässig treasure, and that’s a promise!
In this spirit, we all look towards the flowing waters of the Saalach and to a future, where together, we can look forward to a reunion in summer 2020!
Until we meet again: stay well!
