Sunrise at the summit - an early bird explores the ski area!

Getting up early pays off!

There is something that is even nicer for me than starting my skiing day at 8:30 a.m. or 9:00 a.m. on the dot, when the lifts in the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn ski circus open their gates - namely, being on the slopes even earlier.

Early start in the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn

With the Early Bird offer "Early Start" you can use individual lifts as early as 08:00. From my "home mountain" - the Reiterkogel - and many other mountain peaks, you can then enjoy the sunrise at the summit just a few moments later. Whenever possible, I hurry early in the morning and slip into my ski boots before everyone else. Early Bird is calling - this time on the 12er KOGEL and on the Reiterkogel!

The following cable cars and lifts in the Skicircus start the ski day at 08:00*:

  • L1+L2 Asitzbahn
  • L3+L4 Steinberg lift
  • B1+B2 12er KOGEL lift
  • B3 12er Express
  • C1 Hochalm lift
  • C3 Hochalm 6er
  • D1 Reiterkogel lift
  • D2 Hasenauer 8er
  • F1 Streuböden lift

The Early Bird offer is included in the valid ski pass - even more fun on the slopes as a casual bonus!

The early bird gets his reward!

Once at the top, empty and perfectly groomed slopes await you, as does a very special spectacle: the sun rises over the Glemmtal valley. And you can enjoy this sunrise in wonderful tranquillity at the top of the mountain. The valley still appears sleepy in the early hours of the morning - while you stand at the top and watch the sun bathe the valley in a soft light. If that's not a VIP spot!

And then there's skiing pleasure at its best - the open slopes show themselves from their most beautiful side and you enjoy the sweeping descents. The feeling of having the slopes all to yourself lasts for another two to three hours, until more and more skiers join in.

The wide slopes and modern lifts mean that there are no long waits throughout the day. After just a few moments, you are already on the lift to the top - and depending on your preferences, you can choose from the 270 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes that await motivated winter sports enthusiasts.

And then? Breakfast coffee on the mountain!

In late winter it is particularly cosy on the spacious sun terraces of 60 huts in the ski area. Let the sun shine on your face and enjoy a fine coffee with milk and a view. Those who like a hearty start to the day will of course also be spoilt with a variety of dishes. In Saalbach there is something for everyone - rustic huts, modern mountain restaurants and casual facilities such as food trucks and pit stops will delight skiers of all ages.

The Early Bird offer is one of the absolute highlights for me personally. Getting up early is particularly worthwhile here in Saalbach. See for yourself! ?
