he house was built in 1960 by Wodratzka, the local master tailor, 
as a workshop and fashion shop. We acquired the building in 1995 and used it for many years as office and living space.

After many pleasant years in our home, it was high time to write a new chapter Due to the sound building structure, its unique location right next to the river Saalach and its proximity to the town centre of Saalbach, we decided to renovate our house and open it to guests.

Our family has been connected with the glass and metal trade for decades. 
Consequently, the aim in the new lodge was to make use of these materials and offer international designers a platform for their craftsmanship and products. Today our house not only accommodates guests; it also serves as a showroom for the designers and craftsmen involved.

Collaboration with friends and family allowed us to completely renovate the building within one summer. We would like to offer special thanks to everyone involved in the project. We are now very proud to introduce our little gem in the mountains to you: the Blackriver Lodge!
