270 km certified runs

The seal "Certified Run Length" allows ski areas, for the first time, to have their offer of snow sport runs/routes in organised ski areas certified by a credible and independent institution. The name Christoph Schrahe stands for competence in slope length measurement. The seal's purpose is to make ski areas put more emphasis on the customers' needs and only make promises that they can keep. Because honesty is the best policy - even if the runs might show up as shorter as a result.

The data for slope lengths or accessible skiing surface indicated in the winter sports portals on the Internet or in the print media are based on the information published by the ski areas. The importance of the ski area's size and the missing institution for an objective evaluation increase the chances of incorrect measuring and misrepresentations. This is where the seal "Certified Run Length" comes into action. It is based on a uniform method for all certified ski areas and the recommendations of the international association for cableways (FIANET and OITAF). These recommendations, however, are not mandatory and thus are currently only used sporadically.
