Glemmtal Radweg

The Glemmtal cycleway leads from Maishofen near Lake Zell over a continuous cycleway along the Saalach to Saalbach and further into the Talschluss, the end of the Glemmtal valley.

The Glemmtal cycleway is part of the widespread network of cycleways in the Salzburger Land and thus connected to the Tauern cycleway. From Maishofen, a beautiful place at the entrance of the Glemmtal valley, you ride from the church in the center of Maishofen in the direction of Kirchham and take the junction towards Saalbach.

Following the official signs, after a short time you will be moving on the newest section of the cycle path, which was finalized in 2020. You ride this new connection to the rest of the cycle path to Viehhofen and continue on the promenade to Saalbach. Next, you cycle to Hinterglemm alongside the Saalach river. Here you cross the center of the village up to the Forellenhof / Pfefferweg and follow the signs to the Talschluss (end of the valley) on a gravelled path. At the picturesque Talschluss, the final climb up to Lindlingalm is highly recommended and there you will also find the official end of this cycleway. Return takes the same route.
