- The laid-back 3
The perfect start!
1 December marks the beginning of the Skicircus’ new season as winter sports enthusiasts anticipate ideal skiing conditions on the slopes of Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn. Three events will be held in Saalbach Hinterglemm to make sure the season is kicked off with a bang: One will rock you, one will electrify you and one will put you in the right festive mood, just in time for Christmas!
The main theme for the three Advent weekends: First, to take advantage of the perfectly groomed slopes, then to visit the events after the sun has set. Abiding by this not only guarantees that you will have the most fun possible, but also significantly reduces the waiting time before Santa Claus comes to town :)
1. Let’s rock this joint!
The Bergfestival in the Glemmtal valley kicks off the season’s opening trilogy. The line-up includes chart topper Christina Stürmer, Wanda, Emil Bulls, Großstadtgeflüster, Jennifer Rostock with her Beauty Division DJ Set and many more big names. Saalbach Hinterglemm’s stages will be rocked from Friday 8 December to Sunday 10 December. I you want to learn more about this event, check our Story-article.
2. Electric Christmas
Those who rather fancy the clubbing scene cannot miss Rave on Snow! Techno music fans have been celebrating Christmas in their own way for years. For three days and nights between 14 and 17 December, there will be plenty of celebrations and of course dancing on 10 stages and with 70 DJs. The top acts this year are Sven Väth, Mathias Kaden, Ben Klock, Extrawelt, Aka Aka, Felix Kröcher. The complete line-up, as well as timetables, can be found under www.raveonsnow.com

3. Soaring Advent market
The third weekend is set to go in a more festive direction. Hinterglemmer Bergbahnen GmbH, one of Hinterglemm’s major mountain railway companies, is welcoming locals and visitors alike to a rather unique kind of Advent market on 17 December. The gondolas of the 12er Express will be refitted into little Advent booths. The motto of the flying Advent market is: Get on, eat, drink, shop and enjoy the ride. The “Die Hollerstauden” YouTube stars from the Oberpinzgau region will provide the musical highlight of the evening while people enjoy mulled wine, punch, fruit loafs and Christmas cookies. All the proceeds of the evening are going to Salzburg’s charity for children with cancer.
