Saalbach Hinterglemm in 17 hours
The answer’s actually quite simple. By no means everything Saalbach Hinterglemm has to offer. Daniel and Sascha tried it out and on one bright sunny day they completed a whopping 16 different sports activities in 17 hours. OK, if you add drinking beer and eating cheese noodles then that makes it even 18.
We’re starting our day with Daniel and Sascha on a sunrise hike to the legendary Tristkogel mountain. Then downhill we alternate between the Skyver and running. Once we get to the valley head, the two don’t want pass up the best attractions such as the Europarutsche slide, the high rope park, the Golden Gate of the Alps or the treetop path.
They use “Bockerls” – a contraption that is pretty close to the ground and not at all slow – on one part of the way heading out of the valley. A canyoning tour in the idyllic Voglalpgraben is the perfect way to cool off. After a round of stand up paddling they continue to the Pro Line. And then it’s dusty downhill action. Right at the end of the Pro Line, the two enjoy a pump track session.
Then on to Zwölferkogel. At the mid-station, we check out the slackline course before we paraglide from the summit back to the valley. After a short stop at the climbing wall in Hinterglemm, we continue to head out of the valley with some motor action and a round of archery.
