The idea was born in March 1992 by ex-World Cup Downhill Winner Bartl Gensbichler and Hans Lechner to present a musical Ski-World-Championship in Saalbach Hinterglemm.
A large number of music groups, together with their fans and friends, have the possibility to spend a couple of days under the motto "people come together by talking" getting to know each other.
The sporting programme of this Music Festival offers a Giant Slalom on the Zwölferkogel (Piste of the Alpine Ski World Championships in 1991) where by the Musical Ski World Champion and the group World Champion will be determined.
